Copperas Cove Residents have access to First Class Health Facilities

Copperas Cove is served by three outstanding health systems. These top-rated organizations serve patients with cutting edge research and technology and state-of-the-art treatments. Specialties include laser surgery, heart disease, organ transplants, orthopedics and spinal cord injuries.

Located just east of Copperas Cove is Metroplex Hospital. Part of a worldwide network of hospitals managed by the Seventh Day Adventist Church, it is a 213-bed fully-accredited community hospital. Metroplex Hospital offers over 60 physicians representing 27 specialties, a 24-hour emergency room, a 24-hour emergency response system for the homebound, and HomeCare for patients recurperating at home. Metroplex is committed to meeting the physical, emotion and spiritual needs of the copperas Cove community.

Metroplex Health System and its 900 employees operate two area hospitals, Metroplex in Killeen, and Rollins Brook Community Hospital in Lampasas; Metroplex Urgent Care Center in Killeen; Metroplex Pavillion mental health facility in Killeen; HomeCare of Metroplex in Harker Heights and Lampasas; MetroFlex, an adult physical, occupational rehabilitation center; Metroplex Advanced Imaging, featuring Open MRI; and a Mobile Wellness Unit.

Active duty and retired military personnel and their families are served by the 265-bed Darnall Army Community Hospital (DACH) on Fort Hood and the satellite clinics located throughtout the Fort area. Darnall offers complete medical care for inpatients and outpatients and delivers an average of 260 babies per month!

Within 30 minutes of Copperas Cove is the 360-bed Scott & White Memorial Hospital, one of the largest, multi-specialty group practices in the United States. Scott & White Hospital is affiliated with the Texas A & M University Health Science Center College of Medicine.
